Dates:

  • April 26 – April 28 – fully booked!
  • May 31 – June 2

Camping and motorcycling were made for each other. When they unite, something magical happens!

That’s why we are going on a two night camping trip to North Devon. Departing around 2pm from Cricklade on Friday afternoon, we ride to arrive at site late afternoon, early evening – just in time for a beer and dinner at the pub next door. Taking in along the way the infamous Porlock Hill – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porlock_Hill

Highlights:

  • Porlock Hill
  • Valley of the rocks
  • Cheddar gorge
  • Coastal scenery and roads
  • Pub adjacent to campsite
  • Ocean view
  • Great food!

You will need your own camping gear – before departing we will hold a training session of what to bring, what not to bring etc. So if this is your first time camping on a bike, then let us help you to get the most out of it. It will set you up for touring in Europe where camping is a national past time for many!

Goats in the Valley of the rocks

Camping day 1

Our plan is to spend 2 nights on one campsite, which will be adjacent to a pub, and use this as a base for exploring.

Cost for this 2-night break will be £75 per person.

Lee Bay – near Mortehoe

Day ride from campsite following the coast road down to Crackington Haven, before turning back to our campsite for an evening meal, and beer probably!

Typical ride from Lynton

Fuel, insurances, tolls (if any), daily sustenance, RoSPA test are not included.

This trip will help develop your riding in readiness for the RoSPA Advanced Riding Test – if you want to take it of course!

We will be organising a camping trip into France later in the year.
