Nice morning ride, even the mist disappeared in the end.
Slightly over 100miles all told, set SatNav to find “interesting route” and it did! 😀😀
Castle Combe, Lacock Abbey, unusual church and Silbury Hill.
Funny how I take photos with my bike in the foreground! Must get out of that habit.
Slightly longer than a gallon ride, total of 77.6 miles this morning leaving Cricklade to head over to the H Cafe for a coffee and a look at the riding gear next door in Infinity.
The route out follows mostly minor roads to Lechlade, then through Buscot to Faringdon. From there, along the A420 turning right to Tubney (following signs to Dorchester. Through Abingdon and onto the Reading road for the H Cafe!
Route home was via Wantage and the Uffington White Horse Hill. Quite a challenging road this as its narrow, gritty, windy, pot-holey and everything else to make you concentrate hard! Speed was down from 60mph – for the most part, but there are several villages to bimble through, Ashbury, Idstone and then stopping at Bishopstone for a picture stop!
