I can talk about riding and all that it entails all day long! But, as a bit of fun I thought I would share the biker’s Five-a-day diet:

1. Coffee or Tea (you can have more than one of these a day, though it can only be counted once according to dietary experts!)

3. Bacon or sausage sarnie

3. Cake

4. Fish’n’chips

5. Chocolate bar – I prefer Mars bars for the energy!

This is actually quite useful to know. Riding takes a lot more effort and concentration than driving so our energy levels need to be topped up on a regular basis. Consider the acronym IAMSAFE from Roadcraft:

   Ilness

   Attitude

   Medication

   Sleep

   Alcohol

   Food

   Emotion

All factors towards safer riding.

Right, now after all that, off to the gym!
